Nachdem ich einem Vorschlag im Kommentar zum Entfernen von Compiz gefolgt war, verlor ich meinen Launcher. Jetzt wird die Frage gehalten, ob Sie Ubuntu aktualisieren möchten. Jetzt ist meine Frage, hilft mir das Upgrade meines Ubuntu auf 15.04 und dann auf 15.10 und dort auf 16.04 LTS dabei, meinen Launcher zurückzubekommen?

Hier scheint der Fehler von compiz zu kommen mit falschen Einstellungen, daher rate ich Ihnen, compiz zu deinstallieren und neu zu installieren :
sudo apt-get purge compiz*
sudo apt-get install compiz* --fix-missing
